I spearheaded the development of a second-generation portable retina scanner, a central component of a multi-national research initiative. Supported by a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant and an Australian Government Ideas Grant (2024), this project leverages biomedical instrumentation and AI to advance the understanding of neurodiversity.
Building on UConn’s 2023-24 Senior Design groundwork, I bridged the gap between industrial design and medical research by transitioning preliminary concepts into a refined, functional prototype. My work - encompassing high-fidelity 3D modeling, rapid prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration - provided the research team with the physical tools necessary to explore new frontiers in retina scanning technology.
